A mockingbird grazes University of Florida biology major Devon Duffy in an attempt to drive her away from its nest on the UF campus on April 19, 2009. The bird apparently recognized her as the person who had threatened its nest during previous visits. Student volunteers approached and touched mockingbirds' nests as part of research that found that mockingbirds recognize, remember and respond to people they deem as threats -- while completely ignoring other passersby or nearby strangers.

Arrest ordered for mom of boy, 13, resisting chemo

Authorities sought to arrest the mother of a 13-year-old boy with cancer who refuses chemotherapy after she fled with her son and missed a court hearing Tuesday on his welfare. A judge issued an arrest warrant and ordered that Daniel Hauser be placed in a foster home and be sent for an immediate examination by a pediatric oncologist so he can get treated for Hodgkins lymphoma.

Obama's new rules will transform US auto fleet

The new rules cause manufacturers "to accelerate their technology plans, probably a little more aggressively than they originally thought," said Tony Posawatz, who heads development of the Volt's technology.

I have never experienced so many strange and unpredictable behaviors from others as I have of late. At some levels, whether consciously or not, many are feeling the insecurity of hanging out in mid-air with nothing to hold onto, until we are finally done with this massive re-aligning.

And when we are not yet plugged into or connected fully to that new shore, feelings of vulnerability can be ever present as we are not really anywhere quite yet…but certainly making some amazing and miraculous progress! Not taking things personally, and knowing that many of these strange occurrences and behaviors will pass, can greatly help to keep this in perspective, along with letting go of any victim thinking!
