Today's NUMBER
Spiritual Meaning of Number Eleven
As we deal with energy in our lives it is integral to understand we are at once a part of it, and yet the option to separate from energetic forces is present. The spiritual meaning of number Eleven deals directly with our involvement with the progression of life.
When it appears, it references both our ability to be objective and subjected to life events - it is how we enter through the doorway of choice that determines the purity of the outcome.

Tapping Your Maple Trees – Start Preparing Now! - on articles
I started tapping maple trees in my yard several years ago and constantly get questions about how to do this. The reality is that with the right equipment and a little direction, it is quite simple. The trick is to be prepared when the sap starts to flow (sometime in February or March depending upon weather conditions).

YouTube yanks Freeview parody clip
Dan Ilic, a freelance filmmaker and comedian, and Triple J presenter Marc Fennell, distilled many of the criticisms into a satire video that used footage from Freeview's ads but with a different voice over.
"Now i'm going to tell my friends to download the original version [of the satire video] and put it on YouTube, so hopefully there'll be a few hundred more versions of the video on YouTube and other sites by the end of the day."

Privacy and security on the internet
"The police, private companies, criminals - want to have as wide as possible access to our personal information - be it for legal or illegal purposes. The monitoring of individuals could turn our societies stealthily into a Big Brother society," Greek Socialist Stavros Lambrinidis warned at a hearing on data protection on the internet.
Mr Lambrinidis is preparing a report for fellow MEPs on the internet and fundamental rights. A key issue is the limits of consent of the user for the use of his or her data on the web - by "ticking a box to opt-in or opt-out...or an internet company just stating its terms" he said.
Do people actually read internet disclaimers?
Mr Lambrinidis told the hearing that: "Internet companies and governments clearly have a lot more power and knowledge than individual users". In addition, companies often offer more attractive terms for their services in exchange for lower privacy protection.
Due to this imbalance of power, limits of consent will be the "biggest battle line" in coming years in the internet security and privacy debate. For Mr Lambrinidis it is clear that nothing less than "unambiguous consent by the user" is going to be needed.

Nudge and wink may turn on all your gadgets
The device looks like a normal set of headphones but is fitted with a set of infrared sensors that measure tiny movements inside the ear that result from different facial expressions.
The gizmo - called the "Mimi Switch" or "Ear Switch" - is connected to a micro-computer that can control electronic devices, essentially making it a hands-free remote control for anything.
"You will be able to turn on room lights or swing your washing machine into action with a quick twitch of your mouth," said its inventor, Kazuhiro Taniguchi of Osaka University.
