With a yellow robotic device at his back that resembled the cute animation star WALL-E, President Obama announced "an all-hands on deck" program to expand U.S. manufacturing and the number of jobs that go with it.

As for that bright yellow, student-made, wheeled robotic device with which he shared a stage, Mr. Obama gave it his autograph.
No autopen around - so he signed the tail end of the device by hand - unlike the Patriot Act Extensions bill signed into law May 26 at his direction by the mechanical autograph machine known as the autopen.

Lost tribe of 200 found in Amazon spotted by satellite

It didn't say airPLANE ...

Government officials in Brazil have confirmed the existence of an uncontacted population in the Amazon rainforest after the tribe of 200 was spotted by satellite.

Three large clearings were identified in a southwestern area near the Peruvian border this week, but the tribe's existence was only verified after airplane expeditions in April gathered more data.

A tsunami warning has been issued for a number of coastal communities in Alaska following a magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck Thursday near the Aleutian Islands, officials said.
The warning was issued for a 250 kilometer (155 mile) radius from the epicenter, said Paul Huang, of the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center said the quake was felt through the central Aleutians and as far east as Dutch Harbor and Unalaska.
