Mr Harris, 86, spent seven and a half years on the 5ft-wide puzzle, only to find the 5,000th piece was missing - possibly swallowed by one of his dogs.
The monster jigsaw depicts James Tissot's painting, The Return of the Prodigal Son - a design no longer made by manufacturers Jumbo Games.

But after reading about Mr Harris's plight in the Mail, the company found the original design and made a copy of the missing piece.
