In the private arena, Michels said, "the law is pretty well established" regarding an employer's right to mandate vaccinations. If an employer can establish a legitimate business need or objective, he said, vaccinations against various illnesses can be a legitimate job qualification.

Such a move would set a frightening precedent whereby employees would face the choice of getting vaccinated or losing their jobs. Further down the line, workers may be asked to agree to take vaccinations as part of their employment contracts.

Michels added that because there is a gray area over whether the H1N1 vaccine has been properly licensed, and given that it may be "experimental or not properly vetted", workers could mount a strong challenge to such mandates issued by their employers.

A number of lawsuits against mandatory H1N1 vaccination have already been filed against the states of New York and Washington by nurses there, who have been told they must take the shot or be suspended and terminated from their jobs.

In the country's rural Salzburg province, 90 per cent of pheasants and 80 per cent of hares were killed in the hail storms.

Sepp Eder, the hunting chief, said : "Animals sought shelter in farms, in fields of grain but the hail was so heavy it smashed right into them. It may take five years for animal numbers to recover, if they ever do so."

Yesterday 30 people had been reporting to the authorities in Sweden that they experienced such severe side effects that they felt the need to contact a hospital. Today the number is 140.
The swedish newspaper Expressen is the only one in Sweden reporting on these cases and as usual this is most likely only the tip of a rather large iceberg.

UPDATE: According to Dagens Nyheter, the number of reported side effects are now a few hours later 190.

In July, the University of Michigan’s Risk Science Center, headed by FDA panel chair Martin Philbert, received a $5 million donation from anti-regulation activist Charles Gelman. This donation amounted to almost 50 times the center’s annual budget, but was never reported to the FDA.
