Dinosaur eggs are found in India

Geologists in southern India say they have found hundreds of dinosaur egg clusters which could be about 65 million years old.

Irish hold crunch EU treaty vote

Polling opens shortly in Ireland's second referendum on the EU's Lisbon Treaty - a vote that could be decisive for long-delayed changes in the EU.

The Republic of Ireland is the only one of the EU's 27 member states to put the treaty to a referendum.

Ireland's economy has been hit hard by the credit crunch since the last vote.

I wonder why that is (not): "hit hard"...

Apart from Ireland, the only other countries yet to ratify it are the Czech Republic and Poland.

New quake strikes off Tonga

The US Geological Survey said the earthquake, at a shallow depth of just 10 kilometres, struck 242 kilometres off Tonga's north-west island of Neiafu, close to the epicentre of the quake that sent monster waves crashing into Samoa and American Samoa on Wednesday.

The move by the Obama White House sets a new watermark in its seemingly escalating war with Fox News. Back in June, President Obama gave an interview to CNBC in which he criticized the network for being "entirely devoted to attacking my administration," and later promised to "call out" anyone who misrepresents him when he delivered his address on health care reform to a joint session of Congress.

Why should a f o x tell truth anyway?

Report: Flu might fill up hospitals in 15 states

To deal with overcrowding from emergencies, hospitals are supposed to have "surge" plans - when they would postpone elective surgeries to free up beds, for instance, and when they might even need to call in government help for mobile hospital units.
