CIA Report: Bin Laden Is Dying Of Kidney Failure... Still

A top secret CIA report, leaked to TIME magazine, which suggests that Osama Bin Laden has between six and eighteen months to live, smacks of controlled propaganda as part of an effort to intensify the war on terror during the remaining months of the Bush administration.

It's so top secret that it leaked-out ... and then THIS:

Study finds long benefit in illegal mushroom drug

In 2002, at a Johns Hopkins University laboratory, a business consultant named Dede Osborn took a psychedelic drug as part of a research project.

"I feel more centered in who I am and what I'm doing," said Osborn, now 66, of Providence, R.I. "I don't seem to have those self-doubts like I used to have. I feel much more grounded (and feel that) we are all connected."

Firestorm in Swedish media over 'EU blogger registry'

Swedish media have erroneously reported that the EU plans to register and bill all bloggers, setting off a firestorm of reaction in the country.

The media storm reached such a frenzy that the European parliament's Swedish press sector on Thursday afternoon was forced to send out a press release to all Swedish media, explaining that MEPs' own-initiative reports such as that of Ms Mikko had next to no legal weight.

The bureau also underlined that the parliament does not have the right to initiate legislation, something that can only be proposed by the European Commission.

Swedes e-mail lawmakers, protest eavesdropping law

The contentious bill allows officials to eavesdrop on all cross-border e-mail and telephone traffic. The government plans to implement it in January.
The bill was passed June 18 in a 142-138 vote despite nationwide protests that are still continuing.

The lack of support for the legislation is a setback for Sweden's center-right government, which has seen its popularity decline in recent months.

The legislation gives Sweden's National Defense Radio Establishment the right to scan all phone calls, e-mails and faxes crossing Sweden's borders, without a court order.

I m p u l s e s - a HeavenLetter on channeling

If you have an impulse to call an old aunt, call her.
If you have an impulse to walk in the park, by all means, walk in the park.
If you have an impulse to stop what you're doing and do something else, go ahead and try it.

Man cannot live by rule alone.

The Tuesday's InspirationPeak

On wednesday, ah, there is that "TIME-thingie" again...

There were rules in the monastery, but the Master always warned against the tyranny of the law.

'Obedience keeps the rules,' he would say.

'Love knows when to break them.'

Fingerprint payment already hacked

Equipment used to let customers at an Albert Heijn supermarket in Breukelen pay by fingerprint has already been fooled by a rubber copy, news agency ANP reports, quoting website Webwereld.

A man went through the till system with a rubber copy of someone else’s fingerprint on his own finger. Neither the system nor the till operator noticed, ANP said.

Albert Heijn said the system was being tested so the company could learn from mistakes and make improvements.

NOCTILUCENT SWIRL:

Once again, noctilucent clouds are active over Europe. On July 2nd, Peter Paul Hattinga Verschure of the Netherlands reports "a bright display, with rapid changes of form," including this electric-blue swirl.

At one point "the display covered three-quarters of the sky," he says.

Night is falling now over Canada and southern Alaska--prime latitudes for NLC sightings.

If you live in those areas be alert glowing swirls and tendrils in the western sky.

Observing tips may be found in the photo gallery.

Daily Motivator

Think and do

You could spend years and years figuring out how to take three steps at once. Or you could simply take one step, and then the next, and then the next.

Being able to think things through is a tremendously valuable skill. But don't let all that thinking prevent you from doing.

Sometimes it pays to think of a more efficient or effective or faster way to complete the task. Other times you're better off when you just go ahead and do it.

Analyzing what you must do can be helpful. Yet analysis by itself won't get the job completed.

After you think it through, go ahead and get it done. Put your clever thinking into action, and you'll have something of tangible value to show for it.

Put your mind to work and you'll create great ideas. Then put those ideas to work with your efforts, and bring them successfully to life.
