Vanishing honeybees mystify scientists

Go to work, come home. Go to work, come home. Go to work -- and vanish without a trace. Billions of bees have done just that, leaving the crop fields they are supposed to pollinate, and scientists are mystified about why.

Inspiration Peak for Today

If the Earth were only a few feet in diameter, floating a few feet above a field somewhere, people would come from everywhere to marvel at it. People would walk around it marvelling at its big pools of water. Its little pools and the water flowing between the pools.

People would marvel at the very thin layer of gas surrounding it and the water suspended in the gas. The people would marvel at all the creatures walking around the surface of the ball, and at the creatures in the water. The people would declare it as sacred because it was the only one, and they would protect it so that it would not hurt.

The ball would be the greatest wonder known, and people would come to pray to it, to be healed, to gain knowledge, to know beauty and to wonder how it could be. People would love it, and defend it with their lives because they would somehow know that their lives, their own roundness, could be nothing without it.

If the Earth were only a few feet in diameter.

Buddhists make fire ritual public | NewsDaily.com

Calif., April 22 - Several thousand Buddhists gathered in California to witness an ancient and fiery purification ritual never before open to the public.

Nearly 3,000 people, most of them Buddhists from other countries, gathered in Yorba Linda Saturday for the 1,300-year-old Shinnyo-en Japan ritual, the Los Angeles Times reported.

It was the first time the rite was viewed by the public and the second time it had been performed in the United States, said the Rev. Mark Pinto of Shinnyo-en USA.

"Prayer is powerful," Pinto said. "In opening the rite to all people, we envisioned prayer transcending boundaries and restrictions so that all people ... could partake in the purity of nature."

Shinnyo-en members believe the ritual's fire embodies the wisdom, kindness and compassion of the Buddha, the Times reported Sunday. Shinnyo-en is a lay Buddhist order that claims about 800,000 members worldwide. It is based on the concept of Nirvana, which stresses that people can only discover their true selves when they act with compassion.

Universal Radio Station The Force ...Episode 7 online!

Captain's log:

All is well on board. We feel peaceful and blessed after finalizing episode 7 and transmitting it to Earth. The Universe really is the ultimate source of inspiration, and travelling here sure brings us a lot of wisdom and knowledge...

We feel very special about this one, because Love is a subject that concerns each and everyone of us. A little while ago Marina received a beautiful channeling on Love from her guide Ramah. We instantly decided to dedicate the entire episode to this subject, as some very wise and interesting things were given to us.

Of course there's a lot more to be said on Love and we may even do that in one of the future episodes, so if you want us to do more, just let us know. We've got plenty of material.

The original transcript of Marina's channeling can be found in this episode's shownotes and on Marina's website.

Enjoy!
